Setting Availability

To schedule meetings on ELITORO, you need to set your availability. This tells other members when you're free to meet.

Why Availability Matters

Your availability slots:

  • Allow others to schedule meetings with you
  • Show when you're free for connections
  • Enable the platform to find matching times
  • Must be kept current for active networking

Minimum Requirement

You must maintain at least 4 availability slots at any time.

If you have fewer than 4 slots:

  • You may receive reminders to add more
  • Scheduling may be limited
  • New connections may be delayed

Accessing Your Calendar

  1. Navigate to Meeting Schedule
  2. View your calendar (day, week, or month view)
  3. See existing slots and scheduled meetings

Adding Availability Slots

Method 1: Click to Add

  1. Click on an empty time in the calendar
  2. The add slot dialog appears
  3. Confirm the start time
  4. Slot is created (default 1-hour duration)

Method 2: Add Slot Button

  1. Click the Add Slot button
  2. Select date and time
  3. Confirm to add the slot

Slot Duration

All availability slots and meetings are 1 hour long. You cannot:

  • Create shorter slots
  • Create longer slots
  • Split slots

Plan your availability in 1-hour blocks.

Managing Slots

  1. Click on the slot
  2. Select Delete or Remove
  3. Confirm removal

You cannot remove a slot if a meeting is already scheduled for that time.

  1. Remove the existing slot
  2. Add a new slot at the desired time

Timezone Handling

Your Timezone

The calendar displays times in your local timezone (detected automatically).

Scheduling with Others

When scheduling:

  • Times are shown in your timezone
  • The system handles conversion
  • Both parties see their local times

Best Practices

Spread Your Availability

Don't cluster all slots:

  • Offer morning and afternoon options
  • Include different days
  • Consider different timezones

Keep It Current

  • Remove past or unavailable slots
  • Add new slots regularly
  • Update when your schedule changes

Be Realistic

Only add slots when you're genuinely available:

  • Account for preparation time
  • Consider buffer before and after
  • Don't overcommit

Low Availability Notifications

If your availability drops below the minimum:

  • You'll receive a notification
  • Add more slots to maintain access
  • Platform features may be limited

Tips

  • Check weekly - Review and update your availability
  • Plan ahead - Add slots 2-4 weeks out
  • Be consistent - Regular availability shows engagement
  • Consider your matches - Think about who might want to meet
