Scheduling Meetings
Once you've accepted a connection (suggestion or request), the next step is scheduling your meeting.
When to Schedule
You can schedule a meeting after:
- Both parties accept a connection suggestion
- You select a profile from your connection request results
- Someone accepts your connection request and you select them
Scheduling Process
Step 1: Open the Scheduler
Click Schedule Meeting on:
- An approved connection suggestion
- A found profile in your request results
- Any connection ready for scheduling
Step 2: View Available Times
The calendar shows:
- The other person's available time slots
- Times displayed in your local timezone
- Only future, available slots
Step 3: Select a Time
- Browse available slots
- Click on a slot that works for you
- Review the selected time
Step 4: Confirm
- Click Confirm to finalize
- The meeting is scheduled
- Both parties receive confirmation
What Happens Next
After scheduling:
- The meeting appears in your calendar
- Both parties receive a notification
- Zoom meeting details are added
- You'll see the meeting in your scheduled meetings
Rescheduling
When You Can Reschedule
You may need to reschedule if:
- Your schedule changes
- An emergency arises
- The other person cancels
How to Reschedule
- Cancel the existing meeting
- Schedule a new time
- Choose from updated availability
Note: Frequent rescheduling may affect your reputation.
Meeting Details
Once scheduled, you can view:
- Date and time
- Other person's profile info
- Zoom link (when available)
- Option to cancel
Cancellation Rules
If You Cancel (as requester)
- You must reschedule with the same person
- You cannot select a different profile
- The meeting remains pending until rescheduled
If The Other Person Cancels
- You return to profile selection
- The timer resets
- You can select the same or different profile
Tips for Scheduling
Choose Wisely
- Select a time you can definitely make
- Account for preparation time
- Consider timezone differences
Schedule Promptly
- Don't delay scheduling
- The other person is waiting
- Timely scheduling shows professionalism
Confirm Your Calendar
Before confirming:
- Double-check your personal calendar
- Ensure no conflicts
- Plan to be available 5-10 minutes early
Troubleshooting
No Available Times
If you don't see any available times:
- The other person may have limited availability
- Try checking back later
- Contact support if the issue persists
Time Conflicts
If you realize you have a conflict after scheduling:
- Cancel as soon as possible
- Reschedule promptly
- Communicate professionally
