How Connections Work
ELITORO offers two distinct ways to connect with other members. Understanding both paths helps you make the most of the platform.
Two Connection Paths
1. Connection Suggestions
ELITORO's team identifies potential connections for you based on:
- Mutual interests and goals
- Complementary expertise
- Geographic and language compatibility
- Potential synergies
These suggestions appear in your Connection Suggestions section.
2. Connection Requests
You can proactively seek connections by submitting a request describing:
- The area or problem you need help with
- Your motivation and context
- Your specific goals
ELITORO finds up to 3 matching profiles for you to choose from.
The Connection Process
Both paths follow a similar process:
Discovery → Acceptance → Meeting → Rating → Match
Step 1: Discovery
- Suggestions: Appear in your Pending tab
- Requests: You describe what you're looking for, or receive requests from others
Step 2: Acceptance
Both parties must accept the connection:
- Review the other person's profile
- Decide to accept or decline
- Mutual acceptance required to proceed
Step 3: Meeting
Once both accept:
- Schedule a one-hour video meeting
- Use the calendar to find mutual availability
- Meet via Zoom video call
Step 4: Rating
After the meeting:
- Rate the other person (quality and value)
- Both ratings are required
- Ratings are confidential
Step 5: Match
If both parties "like" each other after the meeting:
- A match is created
- Contact information is exchanged
- You can maintain the relationship
