Location & Languages

The Location tab helps ELITORO match you with relevant connections based on where you operate and communicate.

Primary Location

Your main base of operations.

Setting Your Location

  1. Select your country from the dropdown
  2. Enter your city
  3. Save your changes

Why It Matters

Your primary location is used to:

  • Suggest geographically relevant connections
  • Display on your profile to other members
  • Help find timezone-compatible meeting slots

Secondary Location

If you split your time between locations, add a secondary location.

When to Add

Add a secondary location if you:

  • Have offices in multiple cities
  • Travel frequently to specific locations
  • Maintain residences in different places
  • Have strong business ties elsewhere

How to Add

  1. Toggle "Add secondary location"
  2. Select the country
  3. Enter the city
  4. Save your changes

This location also appears on your profile and helps with matching.

Languages Spoken

Languages you can communicate in professionally.

Selecting Languages

  1. Click the languages field
  2. Select all languages you speak fluently
  3. You must select at least one language

Which Languages to Include

Include languages where you can:

  • Conduct business meetings
  • Communicate professionally
  • Build meaningful relationships

Don't include languages you only know basics of.

Language and Connections

Your language preferences help ELITORO:

  • Match you with members who share languages
  • Ensure productive communication in meetings
  • Suggest connections across language barriers

Visibility

Location and language information is visible to:

  • Members viewing your profile
  • ELITORO's matching algorithm
  • Connection suggestion system

This information helps create more relevant connections.

Updating Your Information

As your situation changes:

  • Update your primary location if you move
  • Add or remove secondary locations
  • Update languages as you learn new ones

Changes take effect immediately.

Tips

  • Be accurate - Wrong locations lead to mismatched connections
  • Keep current - Update when you relocate
  • Include key locations - Where you do business matters
  • Be honest about languages - Overstating creates awkward situations
