Completing KYC Verification

This guide walks you through the identity verification process to unlock all ELITORO features.

Before You Start​

Make sure you have:

  • Valid government-issued ID - Passport, driver's license, or national ID
  • Good lighting - Natural light or well-lit room
  • Working camera - On your phone or computer
  • 5-10 minutes - Uninterrupted time to complete

Starting Verification​

Step 1: Access Verification​

  1. Log in to your ELITORO account
  2. Look for the "Verify Identity" button in your profile header
  3. Click the button to start the verification process

You may also see a banner prompting you to complete verification.

Step 2: Launch Veriff​

Clicking the verification button opens Veriff, our identity verification partner. You'll be guided through the process.

Verification Steps​

Document Selection​

  1. Select your country of issue
  2. Choose your document type:
    • Passport (recommended)
    • Driver's license
    • National ID card

Document Capture​

  1. Position your ID within the frame
  2. Ensure all text is clearly visible
  3. Avoid glare and shadows
  4. Take a photo when ready

Tips for good document photos:

  • Place document on a flat, dark surface
  • Use even lighting
  • Keep camera steady
  • Ensure all corners are visible

Selfie Capture​

  1. Position your face within the frame
  2. Follow any on-screen instructions
  3. Keep your face neutral and well-lit
  4. Remove glasses if requested

The selfie is compared against your ID photo.

Review & Submit​

  1. Review captured images
  2. Retake if needed
  3. Submit for verification

After Submission​

Processing Time​

Verification typically takes:

  • Instant - Most verifications complete immediately
  • Up to 24 hours - Some cases require manual review
  • Rare delays - Complex cases may take longer

Verification Outcomes​

Approved:

  • You'll see a success message
  • Full platform access is granted immediately
  • Your profile shows a verified status

Additional Review:

  • Some verifications require manual review
  • You'll be notified of the outcome
  • Most reviews complete within 24 hours

Declined:

  • You'll receive information about why
  • You can attempt verification again

Verification Status​

Your verification status appears in your profile header:

  • Not Verified - KYC not yet completed
  • Pending - Verification in progress
  • Verified - Full access granted

What Changes After Verification​

Once verified, you can:

  • Send connection requests (5 per month)
  • Accept connection suggestions
  • Schedule meetings with matches
  • View full member profiles
  • Participate in the referral program
  • Exchange contact information with matches

Privacy Assurance​

Your verification data is:

  • Processed by Veriff (not stored by ELITORO)
  • Encrypted during transmission
  • Used only for identity verification
  • Handled according to GDPR requirements

ELITORO receives only a verification status, not your documents.
