Approving Matches

After a meeting, both participants decide whether to create a match. This guide explains the approval process.

The Decision Process

After Rating

Once you've rated your meeting:

  1. You're asked if you want to match
  2. Choose "Like" or "Pass"
  3. Your decision is recorded
  4. Wait for the other person's decision

Making Your Choice

"Like"

  • You want to exchange contact information
  • You see value in staying connected
  • You'd like to continue the relationship

"Pass"

  • The connection wasn't a fit
  • You don't wish to share contact info
  • You prefer not to continue

No Pressure

  • Take your time to decide
  • There's no wrong answer
  • Choose what's right for you
  • The other person won't know your specific choice

Waiting for Results

Waiting Approval Tab

After you decide, check the Waiting Approval tab:

  • Shows connections pending final decision
  • You've decided, waiting for them (or vice versa)
  • Status updates when both have decided

Possible Outcomes

  1. Both Like → Match created!
  2. You Like, They Pass → No match
  3. You Pass, They Like → No match
  4. Both Pass → No match

When Matches Are Created

A match is created immediately when:

  • Both parties have rated the meeting
  • Both parties have clicked "Like"
  • The system confirms mutual agreement

Notification

When a match is created:

  • You receive a notification
  • The match appears in "My Matches"
  • Contact information becomes available

  • Meetings awaiting their decision
  • Completed matches

Status Indicators

  • Pending your approval - You haven't decided yet
  • Waiting for their decision - You've decided, they haven't
  • Matched - Both approved
  • No match - One or both passed

Decision Tips

When to "Like"

Consider "liking" if:

  • You had a valuable conversation
  • You see potential for collaboration
  • You'd benefit from staying connected
  • They delivered on their profile promise

When to Pass

Consider passing if:

  • The conversation wasn't productive
  • There's no clear synergy
  • You don't see ongoing value
  • The connection wasn't what you expected

Be Genuine

  • Don't "like" out of obligation
  • Quality matches are better than many matches
  • Both parties benefit from honest decisions
  • No one is notified of passes

After Approval

Once you've made your decision:

If Matched

  1. View the match in "My Matches"
  2. Access their contact information
  3. Reach out to continue the relationship
  4. Build on your meeting conversation

If Not Matched

  1. The connection ends
  2. No contact info is exchanged
  3. Both parties move on
  4. Consider it a learning experience

Changing Your Mind

Can I Change My Decision?

Once submitted, decisions are final. Think carefully before deciding.

Why It's Final

  • Protects both parties
  • Prevents manipulation
  • Ensures genuine decisions
  • Maintains trust in the system
